We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time Commercial Cleaner to join our professional team. The role is based across multiple sites in the Northern Beaches, NSW.

  • Full-time role – 38 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work may apply)
  • Worksites located across Northern Beaches area
  • Paid under the Cleaning Services Award

About You:

Duties and Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Quality Control & Service Standards

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cleaning quality standards and operational procedures to ensure consistency across all client sites.
  • Regularly review and update cleaning checklists, service guides, and scope of works to align with best practices and client requirements.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of cleaning operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure cleaning outcomes consistently meet the company’s standards of excellence and client expectations.

Inspection, Monitoring & Reporting

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify that cleaning services meet established standards, contractual obligations, and safety requirements.
  • Document inspection findings, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with site supervisors or contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incident reports, and quality reviews for accountability and continuous improvement tracking.
  • Prepare detailed reports for management and clients, outlining inspection results, site performance, and any required follow-up actions.

Site Reassessment & Scope Management

  • Reassess client sites periodically to ensure that the scope of works remains suitable for each facility’s needs.
  • Recommend and implement amendments or adjustments to the scope to improve efficiency, coverage, or service quality.
  • Collaborate with management to update proposals and documentation following any scope changes or performance improvements.

Continuous Improvement & Upselling Support

  • Identify opportunities to enhance service quality through improved methods, technology, or staff training.
  • Recommend additional services (e.g., pressure washing, carpet cleaning, or window cleaning) where these can improve the overall client experience and site presentation.
  • Support management in developing and promoting service improvement initiatives and client communications materials (e.g., service summaries, booklets).

Team Leadership & Training

  • Provide on-site coaching and mentoring to cleaning teams, ensuring that correct techniques, safety standards, and quality expectations are followed.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new employees, emphasizing company standards, cleaning methods, and safety compliance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and team meetings to discuss service quality, site issues, and improvement strategies.

Meetings & Communication

  • Organize and participate in meetings with contractors and employees to discuss performance, share feedback, and align on quality objectives.
  • Attend client meetings (as required) to review inspection results, address concerns, and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams, management, and clients to support smooth operations and transparent reporting.

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure that all cleaning operations comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and verify that staff follow safe practices when using equipment and chemicals.
  • Report and address potential hazards, incidents, or non-compliance promptly and accurately.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Be flexible and willing to perform other quality-related duties as required by management or operational needs.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills in quality management, inspection techniques, and leadership.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional workplace culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Quality Assurance Manager or Quality Control/Account Manager.
  • PR, Citizen or temporary visa holder with full work rights
  • Valid Australian Driver Licence
  • Experience managing or auditing multiple client sites or contractors.
  • Familiarity with commercial, industrial, or strata cleaning operations.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, materials, and methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and correct deficiencies.
  • Good understanding of WHS compliance, chemical handling, and safe work practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites or priorities.
  • Proficiency in using inspection checklists, reporting tools, and intermediate computer applications (e.g., MS Office, Job management and inspection apps).
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff to ensure consistent service quality.

The Operations Assistant plays a key support role in the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services. Acting as a first point of contact for routine operational matters, this role ensures smooth coordination between clients, field staff, and management. The Operations Assistant is responsible for handling communications, updating operational systems, and providing administrative support to keep workflows efficient and organised.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Team Communication

  • Monitor CRM, WhatsApp, email, and phone communications, escalating issues to Operations Managers as needed.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries.
  • Liaise with accounts, warehouse, and Account Managers to help resolve service or supply issues.

Operations Support

  • Assist with scheduling adjustments and job rescheduling under the direction of Operations Managers.
  • Track shift completions to support invoicing processes.
  • Update SERVIS with changes such as lockbox codes, recurring schedules, and scope of work updates.
  • Serve as a central point of contact to reduce workload on senior staff.

Account & Sales Support

  • Record initial customer details from incoming inquiries.
  • Support Account Managers with site administration , quotations and follow-up activities.
  • Gather customer onboarding information to assist with new account setup.

Quality & Reporting

  • Collect and report customer data including feedback, complaints, and quality concerns in tracking spreadsheets.
  • Categorise issues for management review and resolution.
  • Assist with generating basic reports for operational performance.

Skills & Experience

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle operational challenges proactively.
  • Strong English communication & writing skills and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in cleaning industry operations (preferably with staff scheduling or rostering experience).
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, and stay solutions-focused.
  • Proficiency with WhatsApp messages, Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel and Windows OS.
  • Familiarity with CRM or operations systems (training will be provided).
